Ordering
To use the on-line 'Shopping Basket', just click on the
box and enter the quantity you require. N.B the buy box will only be
clickable if the product is available and in stock. This is the most
convenient way of ordering from Wealden, and is a quick, easy and secure way of
getting your order to us. If you prefer not to give your card details on-line
you can also order by letter, fax or on our freephone telephone order line. See
the Contact Us page for the details. We understand
that you may be concerned about on-line credit card security. We maintain that
e-commerce is safer than everyday credit card purchases. Because we want you to
be comfortable shopping online, we've taken steps to ensure that our site is
secure by implementing Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology. SSL is a technology
included with most major Web browsers that encrypts all messages sent between a
Web browser and an SSL-enabled Web site. In Netscape Navigator, a gold key or
closed lock appears on the bottom status bar to show that the Web page being
viewed is using SSL encryption technology. When using Microsoft Internet
Explorer, Firefox or Opera, a closed lock appears. This tells you that any
personal information, like your credit card number, entered on a specially
configured SSL Web page form will be encrypted before being transferred across
the Internet to our server.

Payment

UK Payments for on-line orders may be
made by credit or debit card as shown above. Orders placed by post or telephone
may additionally be paid by cheque (made payable to WEALDEN TOOL COMPANY),
postal orders or cash. Do not send cash in the post; please use an insured
service such as Royal Mail special delivery. Prices shown on this website and on
our U.K. price list include VAT at the current rate. Trade account,
Government, school and local authority orders: please see the
Contact Us page.
EUROPE Payment for on-line orders may
be made by credit card (Visa or Mastercard). Post, fax or telephone orders may
additionally be paid by Sterling bankers cheque drawn on a UK bank. We do not
accept American Express, Diners or Electron. VAT at the current UK
rate will be charged on all sales to customers in the EEC. EEC
Customers who are VAT registered can be supplied without UK VAT being charged.
We need proof that you are registered: headed notepaper (or similar) showing the
VAT number is acceptable. The VAT number must be clearly legible. Orders without
VAT must be faxed or phoned to us, but please note that if you use the on-line
ordering VAT will be charged. Non EEC countries and the UK Channel
Isles will be supplied without UK VAT being charged. You may, however, be
charged duty and tax by your Customs depending upon the value of your order.

Small order charge
A small order surcharge of £1.50 will be applied to all orders with a value of
less than £15.00 (fifteen pounds) excluding VAT. This is to help towards the
cost of invoicing and delivery on such a small order.

- UK Delivery
MAINLAND excluding Scottish Highlands
All orders over £40.00 in value will need to be signed for. Postage is free
to U.K. mainland addresses. Orders received by 3.00pm* will be despatched the
same day. You will be notified of any items which are not available from stock.
Small orders are usually sent first class post, and will be recorded delivery if
the value is more than £40.00. Larger orders will be sent special delivery or
courier. Please note: orders despatched by first class post may arrive the next
day, although some deliveries may take up to 8 days. If you need next working
day delivery (NB next working day for orders places on Friday is Monday), Royal
Mail special delivery can be arranged for an additional charge which starts at
£4.50 for – delivery by 1.00 PM, or £10.50 – delivery by 9.00am. This service is
not guaranteed by Royal Mail, but generally works! Courier delivery is
available as an option for orders received by 1.00pm* - delivery is next working
day by 5.00pm. This service is offered in good faith, but please note this does
not always guarantee next day delivery, as things can go wrong with delivery
companies! Goods despatched Friday will be delivered on Monday (except bank
holidays). Earlier courier deliveries are available for telephoned orders -
please ask for details. * There can be a delay of up to 60 minutes between
you placing an order and us receiving it. Order placed after 3.00pm Friday
will be processed and despatched on Monday (not bank holidays). If you have
received neither goods nor an acknowledgment within 14 days, you should contact
us immediately.
OFF SHORE and Scottish Highlands
Most deliveries to the Scottish Highlands, Northern Ireland and
off-shore isles will be sent free of charge by post. The Royal Mail special
delivery service is also available, but the delivery times may be longer, up to
3 working days by 5.30pm. PLEASE NOTE: Large single items such as
sawblades over 320mm diameter or heavy cutter head blocks will be subject to an
additional carriage charge. Please contact us for details.

Europe Delivery
On-line orders will have an additional carriage charge applied as shown below,
which will cover all deliveries except sawblades above 320mm diameter and
other large items. (0.15kg.-£6.50) (0.25kg.-£7.25) (0.5kg.-£8.50)
(2.0kg.-£11.50) (4.0kg.-£25.00). Delivery is by airmail International Signed For
post.
Order placed by fax or telephone will have
carriage charged as shown on our Export postal charges leaflet - see our
downloads
page for a copy.

Returns
If for any reason cutters ordered are not to your
complete satisfaction, they may be returned
unused for exchange or refund. The following conditions do not, of
course, apply to faulty goods or goods sent to you due to an error on our part.
PRIVATE CUSTOMERS
The distance selling regulations entitle private
customers to return goods ordered incorrectly or not as expected within 7
working days (i.e. excluding weekends and bank holidays). All returns must be
advised in writing by letter, email or fax. If advising us by email, please
ensure you request a read receipt as your confirmation that your email has been
received by us.
You MUST obtain a returns number before returning
goods to us.
All goods returned must be unused, complete and in
their original packaging.
Please note that, if we are advised of your
intention to return goods to us after the 7 days period, we reserve the right to
charge a re-stocking fee of 15% of the invoice value, since we will have
incurred the expense of sending and invoicing the goods.
BUSINESS CUSTOMERS
The distance selling regulations do not apply to
business-to-business transactions, although this does not mean that we will not
accept returned goods.
All returns must be advised in writing by letter,
email or fax. If advising us by email, please ensure you request a read receipt
