This set of cutters creates an in-frame door and cock beaded frame from one piece of mdf on a 3-axis CNC machine.
This reduces wastage and is a fast and accurate production method. The set features radius and chamfer knives which fit accurately into their toolholder enabling knives to be changed without having to re-set the cut depth. If using a tool changer machine, an extra body can be purchased so that two complete assemblies can be installed.
All components are sold separately and should be selected as required from the table below.There are three types of 3mm diameter cutters suitable for profiling the door which can be chosen by preference. It is important to note that with all of these cutters the rounding over / cock bead process must be completed first in order to gain enough chip extraction. If the order of processing is altered, the cutter will break.
Initial starting points for speeds and feeds are as follows:
Radius / Chamfer 24,000 rpm at 5 metres per minute
3mm Spirals 24,000 rpm at 3 metres per minute with a maximum depth of cut of 5mm.
